Clan Village
Last years Scottish Clan Village was such a great
success at the North Texas Irish Festival that we
are again inviting a number of Scottish Clans to
join us in the cultural area of the festival.
Participation in the village is being managed
through the Scottish Clans of North Texas.
Space is limited and will be on a first come, first
served basis.
Due to significantly increased costs, including
the rental of Fair Park, Security and almost
everything we purchase, we are having to make a
small charge this year. To soften the blow somewhat,
we are including four complimentary one-day passes
as well as a 50% discount on up to 10 ticket
purchases made by contributing cultural
organizations.
Please also note that we do have some very simple
rules that govern the inclusion of your clan in this
area. They are as follows:
-
Our festival is not an appropriate setting
for political or religious issues, sectarian or
partisan disputes or any other matter which
detracts from the cultural aspects of our
heritage.
-
Booth space within the Clan Village is
limited to cultural, non-profit organizations.
-
We reserve the right to refuse admittance to
any individual, entity or organization, who in
our sole opinion seeks to promote anything that
is political, religious, sectarian or partisan
in nature.
-
We reserve the right to refuse admittance to
any organization that restricts membership to
any class based on race, color of skin,
religion, ethnicity or gender or which supports
or promotes such restrictions.
-
We ask all participating organizations to
limit goods sold to those which promote their
clan or organization. T-shirts, commemorative
items, locally produced CDs, raffle tickets or
works of art sold for fundraising purposes are
permissible.
