Cultural Booths

The North Texas Irish Festival has, for many years, invited local and regional cultural organizations to participate in the weekend activities. We believe that our festival is an appropriate setting for their displays, exhibits and fundraising activities. In this way, we can help promote your organization and enrich the experience of those who attend.

In the spirit of cultural partnership we offer all not-for-profit cultural organizations to complete the application form that is available here and submit it to our cultural booth manager no later than February 13th 2004. Please note that booth space is limited, and we will operate on a first come, first served basis.

Due to significantly increased costs, including the rental of Fair Park, Security and booth drapes, we are having to make a small charge this year. To soften the blow somewhat, we are including four complimentary one-day passes as well as a 50% discount on up to 10 ticket purchases made by contributing cultural organizations. Tables, chairs and electrical service may also be rented for the weekend at cost.

The festival has grown significantly in recent years and is now considered to be one of the largest Irish festivals in the nation and is Dallas’ largest music festival and second largest cultural event in Fair Park. We are very proud that the festival has enjoyed this success, but we realize that improvements are needed to enrich this event even more. We welcome your support and participation in this matter.

Please also note that we do have some very simple rules that govern the inclusion of your organization in this area. They are as follows:

  1. Our festival is not an appropriate setting for political or religious issues, sectarian or partisan disputes or any other matter which detracts from the cultural aspects of our heritage.

  2. Booth space within the Cultural Area is limited to cultural, non-profit organizations.

  3. We reserve the right to refuse admittance to any individual, entity or organization, who in our sole opinion seeks to promote anything that is political, religious, sectarian or partisan in nature.

  4. We reserve the right to refuse admittance to any organization, that restricts membership to any class based on race, color of skin, religion, ethnicity or gender or which supports or promotes such restrictions.

  5. We ask all participating organizations to limit goods sold to those of a cultural nature or those which promote their organization. T-shirts, commemorative items, locally produced CDs, raffle tickets or works of art sold for fundraising purposes are permissible.
